The Poor Press is a Risograph and screen printing studio owned and operated by Diego Villa, based in Denton, Texas.
I learned to screen print in high school and after leaving home for college I relied on screen printing (stolen) shirts and posters to make enough to eat and pay my rent. I worked retail jobs during the day and screen printed shirts in my living room at night with my best friends. Years have gone by now… and I still rely on screen printing to pay my bills.
